Isura and the TCF network will appreciate if you could publish some details pertaining to "how Dialog partnered to come up with the SME tool kit?"
cheers
I would be pleased to have your opinion on the following.
1. This network is about 2 months old, however there is still lack of activity among members in using the network for problem solving or using it for the purpose it was setup. What idea's do you suggest
to encourage members to use it more frequently and effectively?
2. From your point of view, what practical problems could be anticipated in using the network? e.g. such as lack of time/language etc. I am a full time volunteer and keep watching the network almost on daily basis.
3. Mr.Powel (Poland), who has been to Sri Lanka,
(his primary interests are social entrepreneurship and social innovation) recommended having some dedicated members who use the network on a regular basis...which will encourage others to use it, which is a good idea ...but the problem is finding dedicated members?
3. My opinion is, for telecentre operators to use this (they are supposed to be the primary beneficiary's of this network) , there has to be attractive stuff/services available for them in the network.
4. Since you are involved with ICT4D activities, have you read the book "Making the Connection..Scaling Telecentres for development" published by Telecentre.org/Microsoft/AED?
There is a complete step-by-step guide about setting up telecentre networks and there are lots of useful stuff. I have uploaded that particular chapter to my blog...however due to copyright issues viewable only to friends.
Awaiting your suggestions..in fact it was Isura who wanted me to get your idea's
Thanks
Rgds.

Though have not met each other, now we know each other.

Most of the ICT for Development (ICT4D) initiatives face the issue of sustainability due to the high cost of "last-mile connections".
I picked up above from your blog post.
Is high connectivity cost, the primary and only issue affecting sustainability of Nenasala telecentres?
If so, what obstacles ICTA faces in changing the methodology of connectivity in existing telecentres or at least adopting cost effective methodologies in respect of new telecentres? I assume that, CDMA technology did not exist in Sri lanka , at the time initial telecentres were setup.
I do not believe that high speed connectivity as an absolute necessity for telecentre operations.
I am an ICT volunteer, associated with fusion.
