The Telecentre Family (TCF) Network strengthens telecentre
operators in Sri Lanka by providing support and services, including
capacity building, agricultural information services, and ICT
course curricula. Its mission is to create social entrepreneurs who
are socially, economically, technologically, ecologically empowered
to promote sustainable development. The Family Network brings
together the government’s Nenasalas (administered by the ICTA, Sri
Lanka’s Information Communication Technology Agency) and
Sarvodaya’s community-based telecentres. The network is supported
by telecentre.org, a collaborative initiative funded by Canada’s
International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Microsoft, and
the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC)
